Winter-Wonder Wedding

We have just seen the end of another beautiful Brisbane winter,
with cool nights and lovely sunny days,
so I thought I would share with you the winter-wonder wedding
I helped style last year.

This was the very first wedding Little Vintage Days
provided decor and prop items and a styling service.
I was so excited and also nervous that this fun and funky couple
trusted my suggestions, creative ideas and skill
to help create their special day.

The picturesque venue at Mango Hill Farm
on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, had stunning surrounds,
a beautifully restored Queenslander, shady gardens and alpacas!

The bride and groom's vision was a shabby chic and eclectic
vintage wedding, with a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Many personal and creative items were hand made by the bride and her family, to add a personal and individual touch.

Some of the creations were the metres and metres of hand made shabby, pastel bunting and the countless hand decorated glass jars for the flowers and tea lights.
These beautiful details brought all of the spaces together.

I was delighted to provide and style some of my vintage decor and prop items for the first time.

The ceremony area was set up in front of the rotunda, with the signing table and beautiful vintage chairs, supplied and styled by Moments In Vintage in the rotunda.

A casual outdoor bar and drinks area for after the ceremony was set up in the shady garden, with seating, rugs & pillows. Later to be used as the outdoor cocktail lounge for after the reception.

The huge marquee was set up on a lower lawn area, decorated with running pastel bunting and set up with a sit down reception.

That's me hard at work and loving every moment!!

Plain white tablecloths were quickly transformed with hessian runners, various doilies, vintage books, vases, bottles, the decorated jars all surrounding a shabby birdcage centrepiece.

Beautiful tableware, glassware and silverware
were supplied by Fancy Tea.

Gorgeous flowers were arranged by Willow Bud
in the decorated jars and the various vintage vases
and bottles that we had supplied.

Leisa from Quirky Comforts assisted me with the styling
and lended a hand with the flower trimming too.

The cake!!
This 3-tiered piece of pastel heaven
was crafted by the talented The Cake That Ate Paris,
and stood proud amongst the other sweets
on the shabby chic dessert table.

The dessert table was styled with an eclectic selection of our pastel and shabby vintage cake stands and platters.

A pastel blue feature piece was created out of the bride's vintage suitcase stack made a gorgeous wishing well.

Our pale green 1950s Hermes Baby typewriter
was a fab accompaniment for wedding guests to type well wishes to the bride and groom.

Last but not least, the bride's own shabby vintage dresser was set up as a tea table for the guests for later in the evening.

I would like to send a big thankyou to Julian Beattie for
taking such beautiful images of my styled decor and props, and providing them for us to use.
